The Colonial Capital Rods and Classics Car Club
We're a club for ALL types of auto enthusiasts! Whatever you drive, you're welcome to join us. Families are always welcome.
We're a non-profit organization that stages car shows each year to benefit local charities in eastern North Carolina. We also participate in Christmas parades, cruising, displays, and other fun activities.

JudgingJudging at CCRC Shows is done on a point basis. Judging is done by
separate teams, each judging a distinct part of the vehicle, Engine, Exterior,
and Interior. Overall standing is determined by the sum of the three

History
Founded in 1985
President: Bill Fodrie
VP: Nate Harvey (died Aug ‘97)
First Car Show 17 May 1986 (with poker run through historic New Bern)
Second Show 25 April 1987
3rd & 4th shows - no info yet
5th Annual Rod Run & Car Show, 28 Apr 1990 on the waterfront adjacent to the Sheraton, in conjunction with the Spring Arts Festival. Also celebrating the U.S. Coast Guard’s Bicentennial. 135 cars registered. Grand Prize Drawing for American Eagle Airlines tickets for two to Florida was won by Billy Brown with his 1966 Chevy Nova Street Machine.
We have put on at least one show per year in New Bern every year since 1986 - sometimes in the spring and sometimes with the Mum Fest in the fall. Some years did a show in the spring and a "display" or "Cruise-in" at the Mum Fest.
Started putting on a show at the Smoke on the Water Festival in 1999.
Added other shows to the schedule in 2002 - present.
Our longest standing member and former President, Count Lamielle, was voted into the club during the annual Christmas party on Tuesday, 12 Dec. 1989.
